Why can’t I seem to get someone on the phone anymore? I wait and wait, then finally get through, and end up talking to someone I can’t understand, or doesn’t even seem to try and understand me. How frustrating, don’t retailers get it? Why do we get treated this way? Doesn’t anyone care about quality customer service anymore?
Okay, maybe I’m being a little harsh, but you won’t want to be around me when I’m in the middle of one of those situations. My blood pressure is going up just thinking about it.
How many times have you seen a happy face like this on a website? It makes you think, wow what get customer support assistance, I should buy from them. If I need your help later, then it should be no problem.
What it really feels like on my end of the phone, is more like this!
Yeah, we’ve all been there, but why do companies today do more and more of it nowadays? Do they think we’re that dumb? Maybe! But unfortunately it’s all about the money and a websites never ending battle to stay competitive against their competition. I guess they figure we care more about the price of the item then customer support. Possible, but I want both. Is that too much to ask for?
I’m tired of talking to people in different countries, who never owned what I’m driving, have no clue about what my vehicle means to me, maybe don’t even own a vehicle, have no idea what the parts are, and sound like they are reading from a script. Yes I know; most of the parts I buy weren’t made here. Okay I get it, but talking “clearly”, in the same language should be a given, along with “clear” product knowledge. This shouldn’t be a lost art!
It seems as if the bigger companies make it hard to communicate, while the small companies go out of their way to relate to you and help. I don’t know if that’s a sign of the times or something more meaningful. What do you think?
